Dr. Hodgson, DVM - Born in Kansas on the farm and graduated Kansas State University in 1959 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine, "Doc" served in the US Army Veterinary Corps and as a USDA field Veterinarian with assignments in California, Colorado, Kansas, Texas and the United Kingdom.

Doc has practiced in Tarrant County, Texas since 1971 commencing in Colleyville and presently in Fort Worth. While practicing in Colleyville he established Animal America in 1983. It has been a free standing and self supporting business for over 20 years and has matured from only the boarding business into boarding, grooming, training and pet travel.

Dr. Hodgson was involved in mixed animal practice until 1984, when he chose to work strictly on dogs and cats. This has been his career since that time with a 3 year break from practice while doing appraisal and brokerage services for the veterinary profession.

Doc has always enjoyed providing animal care at the very highest level. Whether it be his veterinary practice with a boarding kennel in Fort worth, or his stand alone kennel, excellent care and customer service has been his goal. His immense love of animals has always been the driving force behind his success.

Dr. Hodgson presently resides in Colleyville with his wife Patricia. They have 6 children and 6 grand children. He oversees the kenneling business at Animal America.

Suzanne / "Topper" - My mom is Animal America's kennel coordinator. She works hard to keep the entire kennel business running smoothly so the staff can spend more time with the dogs and cats.

My mom has 30 years of dog training experience and 17 years in the pet industry business. Of course her favorite canine friend is me "Topper" and I am a 1 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees.
